Here is what has come to be one of my very favorite pieces in my collection...  "Doctor Pretorius"   Sculpted by one of my favorite sculptors the Multi Talented "Mark Vantine".  It's one of four in a series of busts dedicated to the classic horror film "Bride of Frankenstein"

The likeness to actor Ernest Thesiger, (who portrayed the character in the film) is perfect!  I have not seen a better sculpted likeness of this character.  Mark just out and out nailed it,  The details he worked into this are wonderful.  The hair and eyebrows look very real as do the wrinkles in his face.  The base is very well done and quite creative right down to the the titles on the spines and covers of the books.

The casting on the kit was first class.  Very little clean up to do, only a slight seam line on the figure and the base and a few small pinholes....  A little sanding and a little bit of modeling paste, it was ready to prime and paint.  I used a variety of grays on this and some muted colors for the base, all Delta Ceramcoat paints and painted by hand... No airbrush.  pastels were used to accentuate the lines on the face and hand.
